چکیده

Multipath routing is a technique that allows tra c dispersion and so, through the use of load-balancing, nodes energy consumption minimization or analysis for tra c prevention, it is capable to improve performance in mobile ad hoc networks. In this work we compare multipath version for two reactive protocols: DYMO and DSR. We study the impact of tra c dispersion on both UDP and TCP tra c. Moreover we observe the real tra c dispersion due to the di erent route discovery process used in each protocol and the impact of this parameter on performance results.

MEA-DSR: A Multipath Energy-aware Routing Protocol for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

This paper presents a novel multipath energy aware routing for wireless ad hoc network. A deep analysis of different routing metrics such as MBCR, MMBCR and MDR have been led out and the Minimum Drain Rate metric has been selected as energy metric to integrate in the Multipath DSR protocol. Performance comparison with an energy efficient DSR (DSR-MDR) has been presented showing the benefits of ...

Power Analysis and Comparison of Reactive Routing Protocols for Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks

Cognitive radio networks hold the key to achieving better radio bandwidth utilization and improving the quality of wireless applications. In this paper we design a scenario for cognitive routing to improve wireless ad hoc network performance in terms of power consumption in transmit, receive and ideal modes, as well as reducing the collision of relaying on the network, without declining end-to-...

A Comparative Study of DYMO, AODV, DSR & DSDV Routing Protocols in VANET

The need to have Intelligent Vehicle System has paved the way for the rapid emergence of Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANET) which allows communication to take place between the vehicles. The effective implementation of VANET, a sub class of mobile adhoc networks, depends upon the routing protocols used which behave differently under different environments. This paper attempts to study the behavio...

Performance Analysis of AODV, DSR and DYMO Protocols using Random Waypoint Mobility Model in MANET

The Mobile Ad Hoc Network is an infrastructure less, multihop ad hoc network because the intermediate nodes are used to transmit data from source to destination. This paper represents the simulation based study of network protocols for varying network load and mobility. In this paper three protocols AODV, DSR and DYMO are compared by using random waypoint mobility in few nodes with varying pack...

Performance Evaluation of IARP, IERP, AODV, DSR and DYMO Routing Protocols Based on Different Performance Metrics

Ad hoc network is a special type of mobile wireless network where a collection of mobile devices form a temporary network without any aid of an established infrastructure. The mobile nodes with wireless radio interface are connected by wireless links where each device is free to move independently and randomly. There are number of routing protocols in ad-hoc network area but it is not easy to d...
